Newen Studios has signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in the American company Johnson Production Group (JPG), a major player in the packaging, financing, production and distribution of television films.

The French company Newen Studios has acquired the Johnson Production Group (JPG), a financier, producer and distributor of TV films. The founder and president of JPG, Timothy O. Johnson, will remain at the helm of the company. JPG produces and distributes over 40 TV films annually, including "Christmas at Pemberley Manor" and "Noel Next Door". This acquisition is part of Newen's strategy for global expansion, which began with the purchase of Reel One five years ago. Newen Studios CEO Pierre Branco sees the acquisition as an important step in the company's international expansion and strengthening of its presence in the North American market. Newen, which is part of the TF1 Group, comprises more than 50 labels, including Aux Singuliers, Pupkin and Rise Films.
