How the Press release Alexander Poel will take over the management of the ZDF regional studio in Bremen on 1 January 2025. He succeeds Kai Niklasch, who will start as the new head of the ZDF regional studio in Brandenburg on the same date. On 1 March 2025, Anna-Maria Schuck will also become the new head of ZDF's Baden-Württemberg regional studio in Stuttgart. She succeeds Eva Schiller, who has headed the ZDF regional studio in Bavaria in Munich since November 2024.
Alexander Poel (47) has been a reporter for regional politics and business at the ZDF regional studio in Bavaria since 2011. Since 2022, he has also worked as a reporter and studio representative in Brussels, Istanbul and, this year, several times in Tel Aviv. From 2005 to 2011, Alexander Poel worked as chief of service and reporter at the event and documentary channel Phoenix in Bonn. Poel began his journalistic career as a local reporter at the Donaukurier and worked as a reporter for various newspapers such as "Börsenzeitung", "Handelsblatt" and "Freitag".
Anna-Maria Schuck (35) has been working as a programme officer for the Director General since 2022. She was previously a final editor and reporter on ZDF's "heute journal" and presented the late-night programme "heute journal up:date" as a substitute. Prior to that, she worked for the "heute" programme at 7 p.m. and the cross-media news programme "heute+", as well as for the ZDF North Rhine-Westphalia regional studio in Düsseldorf from 2014. Born in Münsterland, she developed her strengths in "mobile journalism" during her journalism studies in Dortmund and a traineeship at the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger as well as at the ZDF studio in South Africa and at ARD in New York.
