John Nallen is appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of Fox Corporation in a new long-term contract.
John Nallen was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Fox Corporation on 10 February 2025 and has signed a new long-term employment contract until June 2028. He remains a member of the Office of the Chairman and was previously COO of the company. In his new role, he will be responsible for the strategic leadership and operational success of FOX.
Lachlan Murdoch, Executive Chair and CEO of Fox Corporation, emphasised Nallen's critical influence on the development of FOX and described him as an important partner over many years. Murdoch emphasised that Nallen will not only drive the company's operational growth and profitability, but will continue to play a significant role in the strategic direction of FOX.
Prior to the formation of Fox Corporation in 2019, following the spin-off of 21st Century Fox (21CF), Nallen was Senior Executive Vice President and CFO of 21CF, a position he assumed in 2013. In this role, he oversaw all financial matters for the company, including capital markets and mergers and acquisitions. These responsibilities were critical to the financial stability and successful transformation of 21CF.
Nallen began his career at 21CF (then News Corporation) in 1995, having previously been a partner at Arthur Andersen, where he led the Media and Entertainment practice. During his time at 21CF, he also held the position of Executive Vice President and Deputy CFO, which he assumed in 2001, and played a central role in the financial management and strategic development of the company.
