Atlantis Pictures has announced in a social media post the start of filming for the new family film My friend Barry has been announced. The story, which is based on true events, tells of friendship, courage and the cohesion of a community.

Filming takes place in the impressive Valais Alps and in picturesque Ticino, giving the film a spectacular backdrop.

Director Markus Welter is directing this thrilling adventure, while the production is being realised by Atlantis Pictures in co-production with MMC Zodiac.

With a moving plot and breathtaking landscape shots, the film promises My friend Barry an emotional cinema experience for the whole family.
