Since the company was founded in 1998, Network Movie Film- und Fernsehproduktion GmbH has made a name for itself with attractive and high-quality television films, popular series and serials as well as international co-productions and cinema films. The film production company operates from three locations: Cologne's Mediapark, Hamburg's Slomanhaus am Baumwall and Studio Zentral in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The company is jointly managed by Jutta Lieck-Klenke, who founded the Hamburg branch in 2003, Wolfgang Cimera, who took over from company founder Reinhold Elschot in Cologne in June 2009, and Lasse Scharpen, who has been driving the development of contemporary series at the Berlin location with "Studio Zentral" since April 2020. Network Movie is a wholly owned subsidiary of ZDF Enterprises, produces for ZDF, ZDFneo, Das Erste (Degeto) and others, and is involved in German and international cinema co-productions and international TV event productions.
