The Bremen production company Kinescope Film strengthens its management level: From the 1 September 2025 takes over Gerhard Schneider the position of commercial managing director. Together with company founder and producer Matthias Greving he will manage the company's business in the future.

Mr Schneider has many years of experience in the areas of finance, controlling and corporate development. Before joining Kinescope Film, he held management positions at several media and cultural institutions. With his expertise, he wants to ensure the economic stability of the company and at the same time set the course for further growth.

"The German production landscape is facing major changes - I am delighted to be actively involved in shaping this change at Kinescope," Schneider is quoted as saying in the company press release. Founder Matthias Greving emphasises that the new addition will further professionalise the company's commercial structures: "With Gerhard Schneider, we are gaining an experienced partner who will support our creative projects with a solid economic foundation."

Kinescope Film is primarily known for high-quality documentaries, series and fictional formats. With the new dual leadership, the production company is focussing on a clear division of tasks: while Greving will continue to be responsible for the creative content, Schneider will take over the commercial management.

For the industry, this step is a further signal that production companies are increasingly gearing their business models towards sustainable structures - also in order to be able to compete with international players.
