STUDIO ALBA PRODUCTIONS is entering a new era with a clear focus on family entertainment: with immediate effect, Corinna Mehner is taking over the management of the newly founded STUDIO HAMBURG PRODUCTION GROUP company, which is based in Munich and Hamburg. Together with Michael Lehmann, she will be responsible for both the creative and strategic direction of the company.

Mehner has extensive experience in the field of high-quality family productions. She was previously managing partner and producer at Blueeyes Fiction, one of Europe's leading independent providers of high-end family entertainment for cinema and series. Under her leadership, numerous successfully realised projects were created, including "Lilly the witch", "Help, I've shrunk my teacher", "The little knight Trenk" and "Woodwalkers".

The first projects under Mehner's new management already show the ambitions of STUDIO ALBA PRODUCTIONS: The cinema adventure "Miniatur Wunderland (AT)" directed by Félix Koch, which recently received a record 1.1 million euros in funding from MOIN Filmförderung, the animation co-production "Buccaneer Moses (AT)" in collaboration with Ulysses Filmproduktion, based on the novel of the same name by Kirsten Boie, and the popular children's series "The peppercorns" for the NDR.

Michael Lehmann, CEO of the STUDIO HAMBURG PRODUCTION GROUP, emphasises: "With Corinna Mehner, we are gaining a proven expert in family entertainment. Her flair for material, her passion for filmmaking and her network will enrich our team significantly."

Corinna Mehner herself is motivated by the new task: "For me, family entertainment is one of the most beautiful and at the same time most demanding genres. It combines fantasy, emotion, humour and craftsmanship at the highest level. I am very much looking forward to building STUDIO ALBA PRODUCTIONS together with a strong team."

Corinna Mehner's career in the film and television industry spans more than 30 years. After working as an assistant director, location manager and production manager, she took on management positions in the animation and film financing industry from 1999. In 2003, she co-founded Blueeyes Fiction with Martin Husmann before expanding the company as sole managing director and producer.

In addition to her creative work, Mehner is also committed to promoting young talent and arthouse films. She is a member of the general and cinema board of the Production Alliance and the German Film Academy. Since February 2023, she has headed the "Production & Media Business" degree programme at HFF Munich together with Ingo Fliess and has been Vice President of the university since July 2024. Following the sale of Blueeyes Fiction to MK Medien GmbH in June 2025, STUDIO ALBA PRODUCTIONS marks a new chapter in her career.
