Filming is currently underway on Usedom and in Berlin and the surrounding area for two new films in the Thursday crime series starring Katrin Sass. Matthias Tiefenbacher, who has already directed four crime thrillers in the series, is once again directing.
The first project has the working title "The Usedom Thriller: Vampires". The screenplay was written by Antonia Scheurlen and Lucas Thiem. The plot revolves around mysterious pools of blood on the Ahlbeck promenade, which put the police and the public on alert. Under public pressure, the investigators find it increasingly difficult to assess the situation clearly, while a man who has already served time in prison for manslaughter becomes the focus of the investigation.
The second film has the working title "The Usedom Thriller: Family Ties". Dinah Marte Golch and Isabell Serauky wrote the screenplay. The film centres on former public prosecutor Karin Lossow, played by Katrin Sass, who provides legal support to a family support association and is drawn into a complex web of relationships and custody rights. Investigations into the death of a foster father lead to emotional and legal dilemmas.
In addition to Katrin Sass and Jana Julia Roth, Till Firit, Rainer Sellien, Rikke Lylloff and Elsa Krieger are once again in front of the camera. Other roles are played by Vanessa Loibl, Wolfgang Michael, Hannah Schiller and Katrin Wichmann, among others. Hanno Lentz is the assistant director on set.
The films are being produced by Razor Film on behalf of ARD Degeto Film and NDR. Broadcast in the ARD Mediathek and on the first channel is planned for autumn 2026.
