RTL Deutschland is significantly expanding its anime offering on the RTL+ streaming platform. This is based on a licence deal with Sony Pictures and the anime provider Crunchyroll, which will make numerous internationally renowned anime series and films available in Germany in future.

The expanded portfolio includes popular series such as "Attack on Titan", "My Hero Academia", "Jujutsu Kaisen" and "Spy x Family". These titles are among the most successful anime productions worldwide in recent years and appeal to both die-hard fans and a broader mainstream audience.

The range will be supplemented by other well-known series such as "Inuyasha" and "Kickers", which have a long history in German-speaking countries in particular. Selected anime cinema films will also be part of the offering, including works from established franchise universes such as "My Hero Academia" and "Jujutsu Kaisen".

The expanded portfolio also includes films from major anime brands such as "Dragon Ball", "One Piece" and "Detective Conan". With "Suzume", an internationally successful cinema film by a renowned anime director will also be integrated into the range.

Existing content on RTL+ such as "Demon Slayer", "Haikyu!!", "Captain Tsubasa", "Yu-Gi-Oh! GX" and the "Naruto" franchise will remain part of the anime catalogue and will be supplemented by the new content.

With this expansion, RTL Deutschland is responding to the growing importance of anime as a firmly established genre in the streaming market. The aim is to sharpen RTL+'s profile and expand its content offering to include a segment that is in high demand internationally.
