Amélie Bertin has been appointed to the Executive Board of X Verleih AG with effect from 1 June 2026. She succeeds Leila Hamid, who stepped down as Chair of the Executive Board at the end of May after six years at the helm of the company.

Bertin is thus returning to X Verleih, where she has previously held various roles. A graduate of the Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, she has many years’ experience in the film industry, including at Majestic, DCM and Studiocanal.

The Supervisory Board of X Verleih AG regards this appointment as an important step towards the company’s strategic development in the field of independent film distribution. Bertin himself emphasises the continuity of the X Verleih brand’s content and announces his intention to further sharpen the company’s profile whilst at the same time bringing fresh impetus to film distribution.

With this change in the board of directors, X Verleih is continuing its organisational restructuring at the top and positioning itself for upcoming cinema releases and industry developments in the German and international arthouse segment.
