The idea of compliance is actually based on a liability release strategy for managers. In process-orientated companies, centrally created guidelines are regularly checked for their practicality and continuously improved. In project-orientated companies, as is the rule in the creative industries, implementation and DIN\/ISO standards regularly fail, cause frustration and ultimately miss their target. Due to the increasingly harsh penalties for decision-makers, commissioning broadcaster decision-makers, such as editors and EPLs, and project participants, such as production management and film management, are now personally liable alongside producers and production management.
