As Chairman of the Management Board of Seven.One Media and Chief Commercial Officer of ProSiebenSat.1, Markus Messerer will assume responsibility for all of the Group's marketing activities on 1 October.<\/p>

As ProSiebenSat.1 announced, Messerer is thus \"following in the footsteps of long-time Marketing Director Thomas Wagner\". Wagner was brought back to the ProSiebenSat.1 Executive Board in mid-April to provide advisory support after the company parted ways with Seven.One Media Managing Director Carsten Schwecke.<\/p>

Markus Messerer, who has held various management positions in the telecommunications, IT, e-commerce and media sectors for over 20 years, most recently as Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer at Telia in Sweden, says of his new role: \"ProSiebenSat.1 is undisputedly one of the most dynamic media companies in Europe, which is consistently driving forward the transformation of its business model - for example through its clear focus on the advertising-financed streaming service Joyn or through its early investment in advertising technology companies. With my experience in the areas of technology and sales, I would like to provide additional impetus for this transformation together with the management team of the Monetisation division. This is how we will actively shape the advertising market of the future.\"<\/p>
