He succeeds the long-standing in-house counsel Peter Weber, who is retiring. <\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-74b76af4 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"74b76af4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<table width=\"100%\"><tbody><tr><td><table width=\"600\"><tbody><tr><td width=\"600\"><p data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">ZDF Director General Dr Norbert Himmler: \"Felix Mai is a proven expert in media and digital law and has also earned a high level of recognition in programme consulting and in questions of retransmission. He also succeeds in developing interdisciplinary solutions to complex issues. Felix Mai is valued and recognised as an expert both within ZDF and beyond in the relevant specialist circles.\"\u00a0<\/p><p>Felix Mai, born in 1983, has worked in the legal department of ZDF since 2012 and was responsible for the distribution of the broadcaster's radio and telemedia offerings. In addition to the traditional linear broadcasting channels, his area of responsibility also included the distribution of ZDF's non-linear offerings on third-party platforms. He also advised ZDF's departments and editorial teams on all legal issues relating to digitalisation. In 2020, Felix Mai was elected Chairman of the Advisory Board of VFF Verwertungsgesellschaft der Film und Fernsehproduzenten mbH. Since 1 December 2023, he has been the Deputy Legal Counsel of ZDF.
