The new season comprises a total of eight episodes, which are once again set in the picturesque Berchtesgadener Land region. At the same time, the production of a 90-minute feature film with the working title <strong data-start=\"656\" data-end=\"684\">\"The tears of the Madonna\"<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"687\" data-end=\"887\">Filming began on 13 May 2025 and will take place at original locations around the Watzmann and in Salzburg. Filming is expected to continue until late summer.<\/p><p data-start=\"889\" data-end=\"1189\">Over the years, the series \"Watzmann ermittelt\" has secured itself a firm place in the German crime thriller genre, not least thanks to the combination of exciting stories, the unique mountain backdrop and regional authenticity.
