Sport1 Medien GmbH is selling its subsidiary PLAZAMEDIA to the fast-growing media production company DMC Production. Sport1 is thus consistently pursuing its strategy of focussing more strongly on its core business in future.<\/p>

PLAZAMEDIA, one of the leading sports TV producers in the German-speaking world for almost 50 years, offers comprehensive full-service solutions - from live productions and content management to archiving and international distribution. Despite the change in ownership, Managing Director Jens Friedrichs will remain on board to ensure continuity.<\/p>

With the acquisition of PLAZAMEDIA and the simultaneous purchase of RT1.TV mobile.production - a specialist for mobile live productions with OB vans and SNG trucks - DMC Production officially launches its German branch under the name \"DMC Production Germany\". The new company bundles a wide range of services: live broadcasts, studios, post-production, streaming, satellite broadcasts and IP-based distribution.<\/p>
