From 2026, the previous \"Filmtage K\u00f6ln\" will take place in Hamburg for the first time - in a new, expanded form. Together with the HDF's KINO film theatre congress, which will also be relocated to Hamburg, this will create an integrated event for the film industry.<\/p>

This step further strengthens Hamburg as an important location for film and media. In addition to the recently expanded Industry Days at Filmfest Hamburg, the Hanseatic city is thus establishing itself as a central meeting point for the German-speaking cinema industry in the north.<\/p>

Previously, the Film Days were organised by Gro\u00dfes Kino Merchandise & Event GmbH in cooperation with the AllScreens association. The event is an important industry gathering, at which more than 1,000 trade visitors are expected each year. The focus is on a preview of the upcoming cinema season, where distributors present their film highlights with exclusive screenings and events.<\/p>

The area around the Cinemaxx Dammtor and the Congress Centre Hamburg (CCH) was chosen as the new venue. Here, a cinema with a large premiere hall and a modern trade fair complex combine to form a campus with excellent infrastructure. Thanks to its good transport links and proximity to hotels, the location offers ideal conditions for bringing together all the individual events from Cologne and Baden-Baden in one place in future. The premiere of the new format is planned for the week beginning 6 July 2026.<\/p>

Dr Carsten Brosda, Senator for Culture and Media, emphasises that the move and the collaboration with the Filmtheaterkongress open up a new chapter for the cinema industry. With its strong film and media landscape and infrastructure, Hamburg could further develop the established formats into a forward-looking industry event.<\/p>

Helge Albers, Managing Director of MOIN Filmf\u00f6rderung, sees the planned joint trade fair and conference of cinemas and distributors as an important signal for the industry and is pleased that Hamburg offers the right setting for this.<\/p>

The organisers themselves also see the relocation to Hamburg and the cooperation between AllScreens, HDF and Gro\u00dfes Kino Merchandise & Event GmbH as a great opportunity: they are creating a central meeting point for all areas of the cinema industry - from distribution and technology to marketing and visions for the future - all in one place.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t
