Hamburg, 29 September - 2 October 2025<\/strong> - Under the direction of producer Fabian Massah<\/strong> the Filmfest Hamburg 2025 presented the FILMFEST HAMBURG INDUSTRY DAYS<\/strong>. With over 1,500 accredited participants from more than 30 countries, the event has established itself as a central platform for European film productions, sales experts and producers to discuss and promote projects, financing opportunities and international collaborations.<\/p>

Strategic formats at a glance<\/strong><\/h3>

European Work in Progress (EWIP)<\/strong><\/h3>

From 29 September to 1 October 2025, 30 European film projects with high artistic standards and strong market potential presented their work. The main prize was awarded to Truck Driver<\/em> by Francisco Marise. EWIP serves as a central platform for co-productions, financing dialogues and international sales contacts.<\/p>

International Film Distribution Summit (IFDS)<\/strong><\/h4>

The IFDS was dedicated to the challenges in the international distribution of arthouse cinema. Topics included rising advertising costs, the shift in reach to streaming platforms and strategies for addressing target groups. A case study on Flow<\/em>a Latvian animated film, showed successful marketing strategies for international markets.<\/p>

Explorer Conference<\/strong><\/h4>

The Explorer conference offered space for discussions on current trends and challenges in European film production. Among other things, the focus was on the use of artificial intelligence in production, presented by experts from creative and technical fields.<\/p>

MADE IN GERMANY<\/strong><\/h4>

Current topics in the German film and television industry were discussed in panel discussions, including financing, storytelling and strategic collaborations with broadcasters and platforms. The sessions also offered targeted networking opportunities for participants.<\/p>

Fabian Massah emphasises the importance of collaboration and innovation:<\/p>
