Overall, the association expects revenue growth of 3.3 per cent compared to 2024, which corresponds to an increase from EUR 15.6 billion to EUR 16.2 billion.<\/p><p data-start=\"526\" data-end=\"866\">According to VAUNET, growth is being driven primarily by streaming services and paid content. Revenues from advertising and usage fees in the audio and video streaming sector are increasing significantly, while the economic and competitive environment is slowing down market development and creating uncertainty for the industry.<\/p><p data-start=\"868\" data-end=\"1169\">Frank Giersberg, Managing Director of VAUNET, explained: \"The demand for audio and audiovisual media is increasing. Growth is primarily taking place in paid streaming services and streaming advertising. At the same time, we are seeing the increasing market power of global big tech companies.\"<\/p><p data-start=\"1171\" data-end=\"1521\">VAUNET CEO Claus Grewenig emphasised the need for a level playing field: \"There is an urgent need to create a level playing field in competition with the big tech platforms. A stable refinancing framework, updated platform regulation and broader cooperation opportunities must be implemented quickly.\"<\/p><p data-start=\"1523\" data-end=\"1934\"><strong data-start=\"1523\" data-end=\"1554\">Advertising sales remain stable<\/strong><br data-start=\"1554\" data-end=\"1557\" \/>According to the forecast, advertising revenues for audio and video offerings will remain largely stable overall at EUR 6.1 billion. Revenue from audio advertising is expected to increase by 2.5 per cent to EUR 848 million. While radio advertising will grow slightly (+1 per cent to EUR 714 million), streaming audio advertising will increase significantly by 11 per cent to EUR 133 million.<\/p><p data-start=\"1936\" data-end=\"2203\">In the video segment, advertising revenue remained stable overall at around 5.2 billion euros. However, television advertising recorded a decline of 7 per cent to EUR 3.3 billion, while streaming video advertising grew by 15 per cent to EUR 1.9 billion.<\/p><p data-start=\"2205\" data-end=\"2703\"><strong data-start=\"2205\" data-end=\"2255\">Growth in paid content and paid offers<\/strong><br data-start=\"2255\" data-end=\"2258\" \/>Revenues from paid content are expected to increase by 6.7 per cent to EUR 8.0 billion, exceeding the EUR 8 billion mark for the first time. Stable revenue of EUR 2.1 billion is expected for pay-TV. Paid video-on-demand will grow by 9 per cent to EUR 3.7 billion, while paid audio will increase by 10 per cent to EUR 2.2 billion.
