They are increasingly focussing on location promotion in order to increase production volumes, value creation and international competitiveness.<\/p><p data-start=\"725\" data-end=\"847\">In detail, in the 2023 funding year, almost <strong data-start=\"768\" data-end=\"785\">115 million euros<\/strong> in funding, an increase of 30.5 % compared to 2022.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"849\" data-end=\"886\">Who benefits? Kinfilm dominates<\/h3><p data-start=\"888\" data-end=\"1010\">The majority of the funds went to the <strong data-start=\"932\" data-end=\"950\">Film production<\/strong>Production accounted for over 82 % of disbursements.<\/p><ul data-start=\"1012\" data-end=\"1193\"><li data-start=\"1012\" data-end=\"1105\"><p data-start=\"1014\" data-end=\"1105\">For cinema films in 2023, around <strong data-start=\"1045\" data-end=\"1061\">48 million euros<\/strong> 17 % more than in the previous year.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"1106\" data-end=\"1193\"><p data-start=\"1108\" data-end=\"1193\">Television films received just under <strong data-start=\"1137\" data-end=\"1153\">31 million euros<\/strong>an increase of 82 % compared to 2022.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"1195\" data-end=\"1334\">The median production costs for national cinema feature films were as follows <strong data-start=\"1269\" data-end=\"1286\">2.6 million euros<\/strong>; Documentary films showed <strong data-start=\"1311\" data-end=\"1327\">460,000 euros<\/strong> on.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"1336\" data-end=\"1367\">Economic development<\/h3><p data-start=\"1369\" data-end=\"1638\">The \u00d6FI report also shows that the domestic film industry has a <strong data-start=\"1438\" data-end=\"1477\">Stable economic development<\/strong> recorded: Revenues and earnings in 2023 totalled <strong data-start=\"1537\" data-end=\"1555\">1.73 billion euros<\/strong>value added increased to <strong data-start=\"1585\" data-end=\"1602\">916 million euros<\/strong> - an increase of 28 % since 2021.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"1640\" data-end=\"1666\">Significance and outlook<\/h3><p data-start=\"1668\" data-end=\"1996\">The film industry report emphasises that state funding plays a key role in the growth, stability and international competitiveness of the Austrian film industry.
