The German Directors' Association (BVR) has elected a new board at its annual general meeting. The committee, which represents the interests of directors in Germany, will be made up of seven members in future. Elected were Sebastian Hilger, Florian G\u00e4rtner, Niels Laupert, Florian Froschmayer, Silke Winter, Susan Gordanshekan and Elisabeth Mayer<\/strong>.<\/p>

The association explained that the newly elected board members wanted to \"clearly position\" the role of directing in the creative process of filmmaking. In the coming years, among other things, the Strengthening directors in terms of film policy and content<\/strong>the enforcement of Equal rights<\/strong>a Sustainable promotion of young talent<\/strong>fair opportunities for all age groups in the awarding of directing contracts and the further development of common remuneration rules.<\/p>

The following were elected as substitute members of the Executive Board Thomas Brinck, Silke C. Engler, Claudia Garde, Christian K\u00f6hler, Mira Thiel and Nina Wels<\/strong> elected. The General Meeting also thanked the departing members of the Board of Directors - including Henning Beckhoff and Franziska Pohlmann - for their work over the past few years.<\/p>
