The French media group Banijay Group<\/span><\/span> and the investment company RedBird IMI<\/span><\/span> want their production companies Banijay Entertainment<\/span><\/span> and All3Media<\/span><\/span> to merge. The companies announced this in a joint press release at the beginning of March. The new group will operate under the name Banijay<\/strong> trade name.<\/p>

The previous owners of the merged company will each hold 50 per cent of the shares<\/strong> hold. The current Banijay Entertainment boss has been appointed CEO of the new group. Marco Bassetti<\/span><\/span> planned. The current All3Media CEO Jane Turton<\/span><\/span> is to assume the position of Deputy CEO. The Chairman of the Board of Directors will be Jeff Zucker<\/span><\/span>CEO of RedBird IMI.<\/p>

According to the companies, the merger will create an international production group with 170 labels in 25 countries<\/strong>. Together, Banijay Entertainment and All3Media have a programme catalogue of more than 260,000 hours<\/strong>. The two companies' well-known formats include, among others Big Brother<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, The Traitors<\/span><\/span><\/strong> and the drama series Peaky Blinders<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>

According to the company, the two companies would have combined sales of around 4.4 billion euros in 2024<\/strong> achieved, with a adjusted EBITDA of around 690 million euros<\/strong>. The companies put the expected synergies from the merger at around 50 million euros<\/strong>.<\/p>

The merger is still subject to the approval of the Authorisation by the competent antitrust authorities<\/strong>.
