As part of the implementation of the Reform State Treaty, the linear channels will be <strong data-start=\"383\" data-end=\"396\">ARD Alpha<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"398\" data-end=\"414\">Tagesschau24<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"419\" data-end=\"426\">One<\/strong> will be discontinued as of 31 December 2026. Instead, the public broadcasters will bundle their offerings under the new brands <strong data-start=\"553\" data-end=\"564\">phoenix<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"566\" data-end=\"573\">neo<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"578\" data-end=\"586\">info<\/strong>.<\/p><ul data-start=\"591\" data-end=\"1003\"><li data-start=\"591\" data-end=\"776\"><p data-start=\"593\" data-end=\"776\"><strong data-start=\"593\" data-end=\"604\">phoenix<\/strong> will bundle the joint information services of ARD and ZDF with up-to-date reporting, parliamentary and event reports as well as accompanying discussion programmes.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"777\" data-end=\"877\"><p data-start=\"779\" data-end=\"877\"><strong data-start=\"779\" data-end=\"786\">neo<\/strong> is aimed at young adults and is intended to bring together target group-specific content.<\/p><\/li><li data-start=\"878\" data-end=\"1003\"><p data-start=\"880\" data-end=\"1003\"><strong data-start=\"880\" data-end=\"888\">info<\/strong> serves as a linear documentary channel with programmes on education, knowledge and socially relevant topics.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"1005\" data-end=\"1267\">The new portfolio complements existing offerings such as <strong data-start=\"1056\" data-end=\"1064\">Arte<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1066\" data-end=\"1074\">3sat<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"1076\" data-end=\"1084\">KiKA<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1089\" data-end=\"1097\">radio<\/strong>. The broadcasters are working closely together to maximise the reach of the programmes both linearly and digitally and to expand digital offerings for young target groups.<\/p><p data-start=\"1269\" data-end=\"1666\">ZDF Director General <strong data-start=\"1283\" data-end=\"1302\">Norbert Himmler<\/strong> emphasises that the switch to a joint structure combines \"the best of both worlds\" and is geared towards the interests of the target groups.
