The Zurich Film Festival<\/span><\/span> has a new president: the German film producer Martin Moszkowicz<\/span><\/span> will take over as chair of the festival on 1 July 2026. He succeeds Doris Fiala, who is stepping down from the post.<\/p>

With this new appointment, the festival is strengthening its international focus whilst at the same time ensuring continuity in its strategic development. Moszkowicz is one of the most prominent producers in the German-speaking film industry and brings with him many years of experience as well as an extensive international network, particularly in Europe and the USA.<\/p>

In addition to the change in leadership, the Board of Directors is also being expanded. Swiss media executive Claudia L\u00e4sser and filmmaker Sabine Boss have been appointed as new members of the board. Together with the existing members, the Board of Directors aims to further develop the festival\u2019s strategic positioning and, in particular, to enhance its international visibility in the context of the awards season.<\/p>

In recent years, the Zurich Film Festival has established itself as a fixture on the European festival calendar and is clearly committed to further expanding its role as a platform for high-quality arthouse and mainstream cinema. In particular, events such as the Zurich Summit are set to be positioned even more strongly as international industry hubs in future.<\/p>

According to the festival organisers, the new composition of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors is intended to further strengthen the links between the art of film, the media sector and the international industry. In doing so, the festival is clearly positioning itself amongst Europe\u2019s leading festivals and further expanding its role as a networking platform for the industry.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t
