Instead of rigidly defined release windows, streaming services are increasingly turning to flexible, data-driven valuation models. The economic value of a film is determined less by a single stage of distribution and more by its contribution to a platform\u2019s overall strategy \u2013 for example, through audience retention, subscriber growth or international reach.<\/p>

This development is also changing the mechanics of pricing in the rights market. Traditional benchmarks from TV or licensing deals are becoming less relevant, as streaming platforms use internal data models to determine a film\u2019s expected platform value. Factors such as long-term on-demand performance, catalogue impact and territorial scalability play a key role in this.<\/p>
