Producer Lynette Howell Taylor remains at the helm of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The Board of Governors of the Academy has re-elected her for a second term as president.<\/p>

Howell Taylor was elected last year to succeed Janet Yang and will therefore continue to head the world\u2019s leading film organisation. Under the Academy\u2019s statutes, a president may serve up to four consecutive one-year terms.<\/p>

Alongside Howell Taylor, several members of the Academy\u2019s leadership were re-elected to their posts. These include Lesley Barber (Music), Jennifer Fox (Production), Lou Diamond Phillips (Acting) and Howard A. Rodman (Screenwriting). David Dinerstein was newly elected to the leadership team and will serve as Vice-President, Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee.<\/p>

Academy CEO Bill Kramer praised the work of the Board of Directors and emphasised the importance of the coming years for the organisation. The Academy is approaching its 100th anniversary and aims to further strengthen its role for its members, the film industry and the global film community.<\/p>

Howell Taylor is beginning her second term at a time when the Academy faces a number of challenges \u2013 including changes in the international film industry, new production and distribution models, and the ongoing development of the Oscars ceremony.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t
