France and South Korea aim to boost the international film and moving image industry with a total of around one billion euros<\/strong> strengthen. This was announced by Presidents Emmanuel Macron and Lee Jae Myung at the Lumi\u00e8re Summit in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, in the south of France. The funding is to amount to between 2027 and 2031<\/strong> be mobilised.<\/p>

Both countries aim to use this to strengthen their domestic film and audiovisual industries on the international stage, whilst at the same time promoting cross-border cooperation. France and South Korea are regarded as major production hubs, whose films and TV series are also successful internationally.<\/p>

On the French side, the state-owned investment bank intends to Bpifrance 500 million euros<\/strong> to support businesses in the film and moving image sector. The measures envisaged include equity investments, funding for innovation and research, as well as co-financing and guarantees. South Korea is also providing 500 million euros.<\/p>

The protection of intellectual property and the fight against Online piracy<\/strong> were on the agenda. The Motion Picture Association (MPA)<\/strong> signed two declarations on the future of cinema and moving images, and on international cooperation to combat audiovisual internet piracy.<\/p>

With this multi-billion package, France and South Korea are sending a clear signal in the international competition for Capital, productions and creative talent<\/strong>. The Lumi\u00e8re Summit is intended to mark the start of a broader international alliance \u2013 other countries are invited to join the initiative.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t
