Bavarian cinemas<\/span> invest significantly in 2026 more deeply in their<\/span> Houses. According to figures from FFF Bavaria flow<\/span> a total of 4.3 million euros this year towards the modernisation of 43 cinemas. Last year, the figure was<\/span> 1.9 million euros. FFF Bavaria is increasing its grants accordingly<\/span> from 557,000 euros to around 1.2 million euros.<\/p>

Funding is available for up to <\/span>30 per cent of the investment costs. The measures range from laser projectors and sound equipment to new<\/span> Heating and ventilation systems up to<\/span> Photovoltaics, LED lighting and new seating. The refurbishment, too,<\/span> is supported by foyers and catering areas. Six cinemas will each receive the maximum grant amount<\/span> of 100,000 euros.<\/span><\/p>

At the same time<\/span> FFF Bavaria has Conditions for cinema investment funding have been amended. Since<\/span> On 1 July 2026, the profit threshold under the prosperity clause is 300,000 Euro <\/span>instead of the previous 200,000 euros. This means that the group of cinemas eligible to apply is to be expanded.<\/span><\/p>

The application deadlines are also changing: From<\/span> the 2027 funding year the annual submission deadline will be <\/span>brought forward from 30 June to 31 March.
