Smart detective Anais Mallory (Chelsie Preston-Crayford) returns to her hometown of Queenstown, where she is confronted with a series of startlingly different and unusual murder cases. At the same time, the detective has to confront the ghosts of her own past. Among them are her ex-fiancé Luke (Charles Jazz Terrier), who is now married to her former best friend (Indiana Evans), her brittle, unpredictable but loving mother (Rebecca Gibney) and a handsome pathologist, as well as an extremely dynamic, wildly diverse mix of locals and tourists, who make the investigation even more of a challenge. But what drives Anais Mallory the most are the secrets surrounding the deaths of her father and sister. As she tries to get to the bottom of these very personal mysteries, she triggers a huge cover-up attempt - one that ultimately threatens the only family she has left...
