Pitt will play aged, retired racer Sonny Hayes – a former F1 driver who moves away from the series after suffering a huge crash during the ’90s. Years later, a struggling F1 team owner, played by Javier Bardem, asks Hayes to join APXGP as its second driver and mentor young phenom Joshua Pierce, played by Damson Idris. Condon is set to play the team’s Technical Director, overseeing the design and development of the sophisticated race car.
