"The Light" by Tom Tykwer tells the story of the Engels family of five. There, Syrian immigrant Vara takes a job as a housekeeper. She quickly shakes up the lives of the crisis-ridden family, and parents and children turn back to each other. But Vara also confronts the family with the dark fate of her own family. (NRW)
