17-year-old Bian has to share her prefabricated flat on the German Baltic Sea not only with her Vietnamese mother and her little brother Bao, but also with a whole host of strangers from Vietnam. Her mother runs an agency for illegal smuggling from Vietnam to Europe from her small bridal shop. Bian wants to please her mother by any means necessary and one day take over the agency. When an opportunity finally arises, she quickly realises what this really means for her.
