At the Uckermark Clinic, a new medical director, Dr Angela Saad (Victoria Mayer), begins the task of renovating the hospital - or closing it. To save costs, the first thing to be outsourced is the laundry, which Ballouz's partner Eva (Helene Grass) manages. This is not the only thing that sets Ballouz against the new director. While Dr. Mark Schilling (Daniel Fritz) struggles with health problems and he wants to work through his relationship with Dr. Barbara Forster (Julia Richter), the latter finds a new love in medical assistant Tom Renner (Stefan König) - but is soon faced with a conflict of loyalties. Nurse Carla (Haley Louise Jones), on the other hand, finally tries to break free from her violent relationship. When nurse Vincent (Vincent Krüger) intervenes with good intentions, he has no idea what he is triggering. Only nurse Beate (Caroline Scholze) is happy when she meets the attractive David (Benjamin Piwko) - until it turns out that he has a communication handicap.
