When Süher Özlügül's (Sophie Dal) brother Yunus (Yunus Cumartpay) and his friend Wiebke Jormas (Dalila Abdallah) discover a mysterious bronze disc while exploring the coast, they want to do everything right and report the find properly. But the next day, it is no longer the disc but Fritz Groote (Daniel Drewes), managing director of a peat company, who is found dead at the site. The question that arises for police superintendent Henk Cassens (Maxim Mehmet): What links the archaeological site to the murder and who would be willing to kill for it? Laurens Trautmann (Ulrich Brandhoff), a renowned archaeologist, is interested in the theory that the find could be a groundbreaking archaeological discovery. For Chief Inspector Jan Brockhorst (Felix Vörtler), the events come at an inopportune time, as he of all people is the heir to the property on which the bronze disc was found.
