Naples told as a hotel in whose rooms, a sort of purgatory, seven stories show the contradictory souls of the city. In the 'great hotel of souls', a wedding lunch, a waitress, a frightened man who dialogues with himself, a lawyer who interrogates and instructs a witness for those who know what process, a father and a daughter, a couple of teenagers, the lunch of a funeral: those told in the film are all stories of fragmentary lives, like the city, with a door always open to the mystery, in a metaphysical and symbolic narrative.
