A teacher with a painful past is transferred to Pont Remy, the happiest municipality in Italy. He will discover that behind that golden balance lies a disturbing secret. Every week, the inhabitants of the town take out their suffering on Matteo Corbin, an introverted fifteen-year-old. Everyone believes that he is an angel and claims that a simple hug from him can free him from all pain. The teacher decides to protect Matteo from the community's abuse, but soon the community itself will have to be saved by the angel of Pont Remy.
