Emily, a young piano student from Berlin, doesn't know what to do. Music, her life - all that seems to have slipped away from her. Her boyfriend dies in a car accident in the Berlin countryside. Emily, miraculously unharmed, is taken in by a strange family. She spends some time with them, a togetherness develops, Emily blossoms, as they say. And the family, which could be called an unhappy one, also blossoms with her. Soon, however, Emily has to realize that there is something wrong with this family. (FFA)
