In the turmoil of the Wende, Patty becomes unemployed, loses her friend Jelena and goes into the forest of the Kyffhäuser Mountains. When she reappears at the foot of the mountain after thirty years, barely aged, Jelena follows her ghostly apparition into the historical landscape of an East German present. (Moin)
