The pupils stand excitedly in front of the locked boarding school after the holidays. There is no sign of the head of the boarding school, Mrs Schiller, for miles around. Until Mr Hauser finally appears. What nobody realises is that the sports coordinator has been given the role of boarding school manager on a deputy basis. To the detriment of the Einsteins! Because Mr Hauser has his very own style: races to allocate rooms, no special requests - blocked toilets and missing the weekly shop are just two more problems... Rebellious, Einsteinerinnern and Einsteiner head off into the forest until Mrs Schiller returns. However, an unexpected heavy downpour quickly makes them turn back. Defeat? Quite the opposite! They win something that no-one had expected this school year: a new module: The survival module.
Frida (Charlotte Elma Heß) provides the inspiration for the new module. She is brand new at Einstein, down-to-earth and absolutely in touch with nature. She only really needs the boarding school to sleep, the really exciting things happen outside the boring four walls. Malik (Jonathan Vöhringer), on the other hand, doesn't want to leave the boarding school at all. He prefers to play the computer game "Survival X". This is necessary because he is responsible for an entire village. Ruby (Sonia Kantati) has a completely different hobby: she loves science and is interested in the effects of magnetism on plate tectonics. Luna (Marilou Weilandt) and Sami (Joel Massy Kohandel) join the Einstein as an unbeatable team. The two are not only up-and-coming young talents in the Roundnet, but also a couple in love. And then there's Hugo (Lennox Dreer), who thinks he has the most boring life of all and therefore prefers to dream himself into the adventures of his novel hero "Jake Jupiter".
