The story is based on true events and tells the love story of Stefan and Anna, two Roma who meet under the most terrible and bizarre circumstances. Both are imprisoned in the Roma and Sinti forced labor camp Marzahn and are taken out of the horror of the forced labor camp to become extras in the making of Leni Riefenstahl's film “Tiefland”, which was shot in Germany during the Second World War.
