Ronja is probably the best player the sport of ice hockey has ever seen. Her biggest dream is to become a professional, but to secure her place on the men's team, she has to hold her own against the physically superior men. As Ronja reaches her limits in the battle against her personal demons and structural obstacles, she realizes more and more that it is not the fighting that leads her to her goal, but the joy of playing.
