Die Pictures in a Frame Filmproduktion wurde 2011 von Jan Gallasch und Tobias Herrmann als UG gegründet und 2014 in eine GmbH umgewandelt. Tobias und Jan arbeiten bereits seit Beginn ihres Studiums zusammen. Seit 2013 konzentriert sich die Firma auf die Entwicklung publikumsaffiner, fiktionaler Kinostoffe. 2018 folgte die Roadmovie-Komödie „25 Km/h“ von Markus Goller und Oliver Ziegenbalg, die in Koproduktion mit deren neu gegründeter Sunny Side Up GmbH, der Deutschen Columbia Pictures GmbH, der Traumfabrik Babelsberg & Babelsberg Film GmbH und der Mythos Filmproduktion GmbH & Co. KG realisiert wurde. Der Film, den Sony Pictures Entertainment in die deutschen Kinos gebracht hat, ist als stärkste deutsche Produktion auf Platz 4 in die Kinocharts eingestiegen und konnte bis heute über 1.100.000 Zuschauer in die deutschen Kinos ziehen.

Tobias and Jan have been working together since the beginning of their studies. Since 2013, the company has focused on the development of audience-appealing fictional cinema material. This was followed in 2018 by the road movie comedy „25 Km/h“ by Markus Goller and Oliver Ziegenbalg, which was realised in co-production with their newly founded Sunny Side Up GmbH, Deutsche Columbia Pictures GmbH, Traumfabrik Babelsberg & Babelsberg Film GmbH and Mythos Filmproduktion GmbH & Co. KG was realised. The film, which was released in German cinemas by Sony Pictures Entertainment, entered the cinema charts as the strongest German production at number 4 and has attracted over 1,100,000 viewers to German cinemas to date.
