STUDIOCANAL wurde 1984 gegründet und ist eine 100-prozentige Tochtergesellschaft der in Frankreich ansässigen CANAL+ Gruppe, die Teil des Medien-Konzerns Vivendi ist. STUDIOCANAL ist Europas führendes Unternehmen in den Bereichen Produktion, Vertrieb und internationalem Verkauf von Spielfilmen und Serien und auf allen fünf großen europäischen Märkten – Frankreich, UK, Deutschland, Benelux und Spanien – sowie in Australien und Neuseeland tätig. STUDIOCANAL finanziert und produziert rund 30 Filme pro Jahr und arbeitet eng mit einer Vielzahl an kreativen Talenten zusammen, um Filme in verschiedenen Sprachen zu drehen.
