MMC Group reorganises management team

The MMC Group is strengthening its top-class team and reorganising its management team.
Dr Dirk Schweitzer is Chairman of the Management Board and thus the new CEO of the MMC Group.
Nico Roden, who has been with the company for many years, has already been responsible for the business of the subsidiary MMC Studios since August 2023 and is now taking on additional responsibility in the management of the MMC Group as COO.
Björn Siecken completes the trio at the head of the Group as the new CFO. Bastie Griese will remain with the company and, as Managing Director of MMC Movies together with Dirk Schweitzer, will drive forward the expansion of activities in film and series production both nationally and internationally.
Schweitzer was previously CEO of the listed Splendid Medien AG in Cologne and brings 30 years of industry experience to the company. Prior to Splendid, Schweitzer was Managing Director of the Tele München Group, having spent over 10 years at the RTL Group, most recently as Head of Programme Acquisitions and Sales, where he was responsible for the entire licensing business and the pay-TV programmes of RTL Television in Cologne and Universum Film in Munich.
Siecken was previously CFO of Splendid Medien AG and had already left the company in October last year. Prior to Splendid, Siecken was CFO of SPORTTOTAL AG after working for Deutsche Post DHL and REWE Touristik as well as PricewaterhouseCoopers.
