The Studio Hamburg Serienwerft GmbH is a film production company based in Lüneburg, which emerged in 2007 from Multimedia Film- und Fernsehproduktion GmbH, a subsidiary of Studio Hamburg founded in 1974. In 2006, a subsidiary based in Lüneburg, Studio Hamburg Serienwerft Lüneburg GmbH, was founded to produce the new telenovela Rote Rosen. The merger with the parent company finally took place in 2014. The Studio Hamburg Serienwerft GmbH not only realises successful and long-running TV series but is also involved in numerous co-productions at national and international level.
