Shooting of Fatih Akin's new feature film "Amrum" has begun in Hamburg. The film tells the story of twelve-year-old Nanning, who helps his mother feed the family on Amrum in the last days of the war in 1945. The story is based on the childhood memories of director and screenwriter Hark Bohm, who also stars in the film. Diane Kruger, Detlev Buck and Matthias Schweighöfer can also be seen in other roles. The film is due to be released in cinemas at the end of September 2025.
