Jasmin Maeda will take over as Head of the International Fiction department on 1 June 2024. The department is responsible for the acquisition and co-production of international feature films, series and documentaries for the entire ZDF programme family. Successful labels include "Montagskino", "Made in Europe", "Adrenalin" and the award-winning 3sat documentary series "Ab 18!". Collaboration with the international co-production partners European Alliance, New 8, BBC and BBCS is of particular importance. 

Jasmin Maeda has been with ZDF since 2006. After holding several positions in the broadcaster's fiction editorial departments, she took over as Head of Series and Serials I in August 2020, which is responsible for the "Freitagskrimi" series, among others. Since July 2022, the experienced programme manager has been in charge of coordinating ZDFneo and has further developed the channel, particularly with modern shows and young series. 

Dr Simone Emmelius, the current Head of the International Fiction department, will leave ZDF on 1 June 2024 when she reaches the statutory retirement age. 

Matthias Rode and Hanna Lauwitz will take over the coordination of ZDFneo on an interim basis. Both are already working in the ZDFneo management team. Matthias Rode has gained broad programme experience in the main editorial department for children and youth and has been particularly involved in programme development for the ZDFmediathek and third-party platforms. Hanna Lauwitz has diverse programming experience in storytelling for young target groups and is an expert in distribution and organisational development.
