Media representatives reporting on FILMFEST MÜNCHEN 2024 are accredited.

Information on the Festival accreditation for industry representatives.

 

You would like to be accredited as a journalist:

Please send us your accreditation request in writing only (e-mail with sender identification to accreditation@filmfest-muenchen.de or by letter/fax) stating your full editorial address and your name. Please enclose a confirmation from your responsible editorial office. A press card does not replace the required proof. 

After checking your documents, we will then send you your personal link to the application form by e-mail. Please upload your digital passport photo in portrait format (jpg, max. 150 dpi) in the application form. 

  

Press accreditation enables you to attend FILMFEST MÜNCHEN:

  • Admission to the daily Press & Industry Screenings 

  • Free tickets for all films in the festival programme (available in the Filmfest webshop and at the Filmfest box offices) 

  • Access to the press and guest centre (incl. information service) 

  • On request, publication of personal contact details in the closed networking area of the FILMFEST MÜNCHEN website 

  • Use of the video library on our partner platform Festival Scope Pro 

  • Admission to FILMFEST MÜNCHEN Beergarden Convention

  • a free copy of the Filmfest catalogue

 

Processing fee for press accreditation:

The Early Bird accreditation fee is EUR 40.00 (incl. 19% VAT) per person until 31 May 2024. From 1 June 2024, the regular price of EUR 50.00 (incl. 19% VAT) will apply. It will be collected by SEPA direct debit from the specified account or charged to the specified credit card. You will receive proof of payment together with your accreditation card and in advance with your confirmation of accreditation by e-mail. Separate invoices will not be issued. 

If we receive your written notification by 14 June 2024 at the latest that you are unable to attend the festival, we will refund the accreditation fee. Refunds are not possible for notifications received later or 'no shows'. 

 

Collection of press accreditation documents:

Press accreditation can be obtained at the start of the festival at the accreditation counter in the Festival Centre AmerikahausKarolinenplatz 3, can be picked up at 

If you are unable to collect your press accreditation in person, please provide the person collecting it with a written authorisation. 

Please note that tickets for film screenings can only be collected in person at the Filmfest box offices on presentation of your accreditation card. 

 

Please note:

  • The festival decides on accreditation. There is no legal entitlement to accreditation. The guidelines apply in their respective version. 

  • After the accreditation deadline (14 June 2024), accreditations are only possible in special exceptional cases. Please understand that in such cases an additional processing fee of EUR 35.00 will be charged and access to the Video Library cannot be guaranteed. 

  • The registration form is only accessible via your personalised link; it is not available for download 

  • Festival accreditation is personal and non-transferable. 

  • Free tickets for the programme are for personal use only. Please have your film festival ID ready. 

  • You will need your Filmfest ID to visit the Press and Guest Centre, the Press & Industry Screenings and the Beergarden Convention. Please understand that accompanying persons without festival accreditation will not be admitted.

  • If you would like to participate in external events within the framework of FILMFEST MÜNCHEN, please contact the respective organiser directly.
