Fremantle extends global FAST deal with Pluto TV

Fremantle launches 25 FAST channels in expanded global deal with Pluto TV

We have signed a global deal with Pluto TV to distribute 25 FAST channels in 13 countries, with each channel curated specifically for each market.
The expansion of our partnership with Pluto TV will see 24 of the company's favourite FAST channels premiere in Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Italy, San Marino, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, the UK and the US. The deal also includes the launch of a brand new channel, Escape to the Country, in the UK.

The brand new channel, Escape to the Country, premieres for the first time with Pluto TV. Launching in the UK, the channel will show the hit entertainment series in which families search for the perfect home in the British countryside. The deal also sees the Three's Company channel launch outside the US for the first time. The Three's Company channel will premiere internationally in Canada later this summer and will show episodes of the hit sitcom, which aired from 1977 to 1983 and remains a fan favourite to this day.

The 25 channels, which are distributed in 13 countries, include Escape to the Country, Three's Company, Baywatch, Supermarket Sweep, Family Feud Classic, Let's Make a Deal, The Price is Right: Bob Barker, The Price is Right: Drew Carey, Alarm for Cobra, Project Runway, Prisoner and Jamie Oliver.

We launched the successful FAST channels Baywatch, Supermarket Sweep, Let's Make a Deal, Family Feud Classic, The Price is Right: Bob Barker and The Price is Right: Drew Carey in Canada on 3 May. Following this success, the Baywatch channel will also be available on Pluto TV in Spain, Italy and the Nordic countries in the coming months. The Baywatch channel has already proven to be a hit with current viewers and was nominated for Single IP Fast Channel of the Year at the Content Innovation Awards.

Our deal with Pluto TV is the latest project in our FAST unit and follows the success of our FAST business, which currently consists of 24 channels in North America, Europe and Australia. We have made progress in FAST to offer premium content at no additional cost. In regions such as North America, we have already seen an increase in demand for FAST, thanks to its quality, availability and, most importantly, the fact that it does not incur any additional costs for customers.
