Director of Public Policy for Canada Stéphane Cardin will leave his position at Netflix on 5 July after almost six years.

After six rewarding years at Netflix as Director of Public Policy for Canada, I am embarking on a new path in my career.

My journey at Netflix has been characterised by exciting challenges, impactful collaborations and, most importantly, the unique opportunity to play a leading role in the company's establishment in Canada: from the opening of our corporate office in Toronto, to the partnerships we've forged to support the emergence of new creative voices, to the productions we've shot from coast to coast. Netflix is now firmly rooted here.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunities to work with industry leaders and policy makers who share a passion for innovation and creativity.

I leave Netflix with great respect and affection for all the players on this incredible team and for the company itself, which has provided me with a unique playground to develop and realise my skills and ideas.

These six years have enriched my professional growth and sharpened my perspective on the intersection of technology, media and public policy.

I look forward to staying in touch with many of you and continuing to contribute to the development of the cultural sector in Canada.
