Constantin Film reorganises its communications/executive board division: Katharina Hiersemenzel is Chief Strategy & Policy Officer and Katja Wirz new Corporate Spokeswoman

Munich, 16 July 2024 - Constantin Film is reorganising its communications/Executive Board division. As Chief Strategy & Policy Officer, Katharina Hiersemenzel is now responsible for the internal implementation of strategic topics in addition to political work. Katja Wirz is the new company spokesperson with immediate effect and is responsible for communications relating to the company as a whole. Hiersemenzel and Wirz report directly to Oliver Berben, CEO of Constantin Film.

Katharina Hiersemenzel studied law in Munich and Sydney and has been working in the national and international film and television industry since 2000. Initially, she gained extensive professional experience as a lawyer specialising in copyright and media law in cinema film and TV production as well as in programme acquisition and licence trading, including for Helkon Media AG and SKW Schwarz. Since 2010, she has focused on policy work and strategy and has worked in these areas as General Counsel for Da Vinci Media GmbH, as Copyright Policy Counsel for the Motion Picture Association (MPAA) in Brussels and as Director Global Public Policy for Netflix, among others, and has accompanied numerous legislative procedures. In 2020, she moved to Constantin Film as Senior Vice President Public Policy, where she has been responsible for the company's policy work ever since.

Katja Wirz has a degree in economics. During her studies at the University of Trier, she worked as a journalist and copywriter and completed internships at RTL, ZDF and DaimlerChrysler, for which she also wrote a thesis on innovations in Palo Alto. She began her career in 2001 in corporate communications at ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG, where she was initially a junior PR officer and later PR officer for financial communications. From 2005 to 2009, she worked as a press project manager at Constantin Film and oversaw the press campaigns for films such as "The Wave", "Hui Buh: Das Schlossgespenst", "Michael Clayton" and "Milk". Since 2009, she has been head of film press at Constantin Film and was jointly responsible for the press campaigns for "Horst Schlämmer - Isch kandidiere", "Die Päpstin", "Wickie auf großer Fahrt", "Türkisch für Anfänger", "Fack Ju Göhte 1-3", "Das perfekte Geheimnis," the Eberhofer films as well as recent successes such as "Sonne und Beton" and "Chantal im Märchenland". She hands over the management of the film press to Linda Fiolka and Eric Lehmann.
